Psychodiagnostic Assessment
Psychodiagnostic assessments are comprehensive evaluations that focus on mental health, emotional well-being, personality factors, and day-to-day functioning. These assessments involve structured clinical interviews and standardized measures designed to clarify diagnoses, guide treatment planning, and provide practical recommendations.
Psychodiagnostic assessments may be helpful for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing persistent symptoms such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, mood instability, or other emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Psychodiagnostic assessments can be helpful when symptoms feel complex, overlapping, or difficult to untangle, or when you want a clear, evidence-based understanding of what is going on and what supports are most likely to help.
These assessments can also support treatment planning, return-to-work or school planning, and (when appropriate) documentation to support accommodations in occupational or academic settings.
Who This Is For
Looking for a Different Type of Assessment?
If your primary question is ADHD or autism, we offer dedicated assessment pathways with adult and child/adolescent options.
If your main concern involves learning, academic achievement, school performance, or accommodations, a psychoeducational assessment may be a better fit.
Our Process
The psychodiagnostic assessment process is collaborative and structured. The goal is to provide diagnostic clarity, reduce uncertainty, and deliver a set of recommendations that are realistic, practical, and tailored to your needs.
During a psychodiagnostic assessment, you will be guided through clinical interviews and evidence-based questionnaires that assess symptoms and functioning. Some questions are answered in a yes/no format, while others require more detailed responses.
When relevant, we may also review collateral information (e.g., prior records, collateral input, or treatment history) to strengthen diagnostic accuracy and ensure the recommendations are well-informed.
Following completion of the assessment, a report will be written based on the information gathered throughout the process (and, when applicable, from collateral sources). Once the report is complete, you will be invited to a feedback session where you will have an opportunity to review the report and share any additional information or ask any questions you feel may be relevant.
In order to have a psychodiagnostic assessment completed, you may be self-referred or referred by a physician or other healthcare professional.
